I have returned from my holiday, just in time for the spooky season! And with the spooky season comes spooky games! Today we have a demo to talk about! Vlad Circus Descend Into Madness, developed by Indiesruption and published by Blowfish! This demo dropped before I went away, so I am a little late to the party. But I’m here now! Let’s get into it!
What is Vlad Circus?
Vlad Circus Descend Into Madness is a horror adventure, with a story full of mystery and pain. Vlad Circus isn’t your typical circus, not these days anywho. It’s a freak circus. Or rather, was a freak circus. The 1920s circus burned to the ground, and the stars have reunited on a quest to potentially reform the circus. We play as Oliver Mills, the former clown, who is now suffering severely mentally as a result of the fire.
Descend in Demo
The demo for Vlad Circus Descend Into Madness takes place across the first chapter or so of the game. Oliver Mills has undertaken the journey to meet with his fellow circus mates, in the home of their former leader. Unfortunately, though, all is not as it seems, and Oliver’s mind can hardly handle the torment around him.
This demo covers arrival, meeting former co-stars, and a couple of traumatic experiences. The pixelated style of the game gives it a tasteful feel, and what we have experienced of the story so far is intriguing.
However, getting to the end point of the demo took me a while. Honestly, I’m not sure if that’s because the demo is slightly longer than the norm, or if I’m just slower than normal after being away. Without a doubt though, I am more intrigued by Vlad Circus after playing this demo. The full release is coming October 17th, and I am definitely looking forward to getting my hands on it and experiencing more of Oliver’s story.
