The release date of the upcoming SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam has been moved to July 10th unfortunately.
“We have been working hard on SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris for our fans who are looking forward to the next SWORD ART ONLINE title,” said Yosuke Futami, executive producer. “Due to the ongoing world events, we have made the difficult decision to move the release date of SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoristo July 10th. We believe that this is the best way to ensure that our fans are delivered with the best SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris experience.”
Disappointing news in a depressing time
It’s a shame to see something else that a lot of people were excited for to be affected by what is going on in the world. I personally thought that games were one of the few elements of our life that could remain relatively unaffected by this pandemic.
Hopefully, when SAO Alicization Lycoris finally releases in July it will be a polished and enjoyable title that gamers can sink their teeth into. Until then you will have to find your fix somewhere else. Luckily I can think of many titles out there that will keep us all sane.
