A recent video game survey was whipped up. This survey was all about the best present that Santa brought and as one of those children I have to agree with the findings.

Here’s a brief look at what the video game survey details:

-PS1 was a near-unanimous first choice, except with those in the 35-45 age bracket who voted the Sega Megadrive #1

-Female gamers voted the Nintendo NES #2, while more men voted for the Sega Megadrive

-Outside of Dublin, the Nintendo SNES was a firm favourite taking the number one spot in the hearts of grown-ups in Meath, Clare, Limerick, and Sligo

-The Super Nintendo (SNES), meanwhile, claimed the #1 spot in Wicklow and Waterford

-The original Gameboy was the top handheld console

The No. 1 Station to Play

That’s right folks the PlayStation was a near-unanimous winner and I wholeheartedly agree with that. After all, when the PlayStation arrived, especially here in Ireland, it changed the game (pun intended). In my humble opinion, I don’t think there wasn’t a kid in the ’90s who didn’t have a PlayStation.

It had such extraordinary games on it and was a wonder to behold. I also feel this is the reason why so many feel unimpressed with the selection on offer for the PlayStation Classic.

Looking across the Country

It’s interesting to take note of the Nintendo SNES and the SNES claiming the #1 spot in other counties. I would love to see what is the reason behind it all.
