This year has been wild (to say the least), so some studios are letting us know what Christmas ideas they have that might be good for the gamers in your life. Check out the Christmas list below, and let us know will you be picking any of these up.

Table Manners

It started on Valentine’s Day – who’d have thought that by November 2020 a virtual date would become the new normal?

Swipe right for this crazy physics-based dating simulator and find your perfect match! In Table Manners you’ve secured a date and you’re off to the most glamorous restaurant you know, there’s only one problem – you’re a disembodied hand with a knack for catastrophe!

From humble restaurants to sushi bars, ice bars and even a plane – each venue contains a number of unique gameplay mechanics and challenges that you must navigate in order to impress your date.

As your reputation grows you will unlock more and more potential dates with even more sophisticated challenges and dating scenarios.

Embr (available in Early Access)

In May, Muse Game’s frantic firefighting game for 1-4 players, Embr, launched in early access. Set in a hyper-capitalist reality where traditional emergency services are a thing of the past, in Embr you are invited to become private fire fighting franchisees using a Deliveroo style app.

Constantly updated with new items, locations and more fiery levels, Embr is the last stand in a world ablaze!

Since its May release, Embr has had over 50 million views on YouTube and counting.

Peaky Blinders: Mastermind

Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is a puzzle-adventure game, based on the multi-award-winning TV show. Take control of characters you know from the show as they navigate through familiar locations to execute the perfect plan. Each mission is an increasingly complex puzzle to be solved undetected and on time. Become the Mastermind!

 

Physical versions of the game are available now in the UK and EU and will be launching for all platforms on December 10th. We were lucky enough to review Peaky Blinders: Mastermind, check out our review here.

Hotshot Racing

Sumo Nottingham and Lucky Mountain Games’ blisteringly fast arcade-style racing game came out on September 10th. Taking the iconic arcade racing formula of the 90s and updating it for the modern generation, the game fuses drift handling, razor-sharp retro visuals and an incredible sense of speed to create an exhilarating driving experience.

 

Big Boss Bundle, the first DLC for the title is also available for free! With even more content for all you drift-lovers out there, the new DLC includes four colourful new tracks, a new Grand Prix championship and a brand new game mode, Barrel Barrage.

Space Crew

From three-person dev team, Runner Duck, Space Crew is the brand new sequel to acclaimed strategic survival simulation game Bomber Crew.

The United Defense Force will allow you to set across the galaxy on a campaign to defend Earth. It will be your responsibility to help stop all of humankind being wiped off the intergalactic stage by the mysterious extraterrestrial threat known as the Phasmids.

Human Fall Flat

Although it didn’t release this year, No Brakes Games has been working closely with the community in 2020 to add some incredible new levels to Human Fall Flat!

In April, the ‘Thermal’ level launched which sees players venture from snowy peaks to underground caverns in search of gold. In May, players created machine parts from shiny steel ingots and operated giant gizmos and massive machines in ‘Factory’.

As Autumn rolled in Humans got to pack their clubs, jump into the nearest cart and practice their swing as they headed to the green in brand new Golf level.

In November, a new ‘City’ level will be coming to Human: Fall Flat, bringing with it neon-lit skyscrapers and strenuous sports.

A physical Anniversary edition of Human Fall Flat was made available this year in Europe and the US.
