CD PROJEKT RED has invited gamers and music enthusiasts to check out the brand new music video from rap duo Run The Jewels, inspired by Cyberpunk 2077. I think they’re trying to distract us from the ever-increasing waiting period.
The video features El-P and Killer Mike, known as Run The Jewels (RTJ), performing their track No Save Point — which was created specifically for Cyberpunk 2077 and can be heard in the game itself, as well as on the game’s soundtrack. Filled with elements, imagery, and effects from the dark future world of 2077, the atmospheric video is available to watch right now on YouTube.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release on December the 10th (hopefully), for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Stadia. The game will also be playable on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles when available.
At a later date, a free upgrade to Cyberpunk 2077, taking full advantage of next-gen hardware, will become available for owners of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions respectively.
The video though a nice touch still leaves a somewhat bitter taste in my mouth. With the number of delays this game has suffered, I think we’re all beginning to wonder if we will actually get to play come Christmas 2020 or are we looking at a possible 2021 release?
All I know is music videos are nice and all, but I don’t play games for the soundtrack. I play games for the games and the longer we’re denied this world the harder it gets. Hopefully, though this is me just whining.
