Residual, the survival platformer from Apogee and OrangePixel, is landing on September 9th. Initially releasing on Steam for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Crashlanding on an unpredictable alien world, the player must do what it takes to survive. Using a randomly generated world for every playthrough helps to make the game more dynamic. Explore and gather the resources needed to repair your ship. Hold strong against the lashing rain, high winds, blazing sun and the chilling cold. Along the way unravelling the chilling secrets of a long lost civilisation. Use your puzzle-solving skills, and careful crafting to rebuild your ship for any hope of escape from this harsh world.
Residual uses the Nature Engine, a proprietary procedural generation system. Allowing the manipulation of climates, minerals and hostility to make every playthrough truly unique. Allowing you to choose between a male, female or non-binary protagonist. Venturing forth into danger with your personal companion till the end, Pedey-B. Guiding the player along the journey, offering helpful advice, sarcastic tips, and random commentary.
Residual lands planetside Thursday, September 9th on Steam for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch for €19.99 with support for 11 languages. The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 releases will follow later this year.
