Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr Wu

The first paid add-on for Jurassic World Evolution will launch on 20 November for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This new DLC will add new dinosaurs, new locations and all new story missions to the base game. Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr Wu will take place on Isla Muerta and Isla Tacano, and will star BD Wong as the famous/infamous Doctor Henry Wu.

Most importantly, out of all this, of course, are the new dinosaurs! There will be 5 new dinos to create/confront in the new DLC; 2 new standard breeds, and 3 hybrids. These 3 machinations of the main man himself are the Stegoceratops, Ankylodocus, and Spinoraptor. You can see all 3 in the trailer above. The two new standard breeds being added in Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr Wu are the Troodon and the Olorotitan. While playing through the new narrative, players will confront new threats, and work alongside Dr Wu to discover new dig sites, facility upgrades, and research opportunities.

Dino DNA

One of the coolest new research options in Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr Wu is the Indominus Rex camouflage gene. Unlock this through Dr Wu’s research, and you may breed Indominus with her infamous stealth camouflage. The new campaign missions will unlock after players achieve a four-star rating on Isla Muerta. Once you’ve impressed Dr Wu enough, you may gain access to his more specialised research.

Coinciding with the DLC release is a free update for all owners of Jurassic World Evolution. The 1.5 update will introduce a day/night cycle to the campaign, new dinosaur grouping and sleeping behaviours, new contracts and new large-capacity feeders. This follows on the tradition of post-launch support held by Frontier Developments. They are also the guys behind outstanding space sim, and GamEir favourite, Elite: Dangerous. Frontier has a track record of excellent add-on content for their games. There’s no reason to think Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr Wu will break from that tradition.

Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr. Wu launches on the 20th of November for €14.99 on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One digital stores.
