During the PlayStation Showcase, they gave us a closer look at Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The game genuinely looked so fun to play. If you missed the 7-minute trailer then watch it. We’ve attached it below.
In the trailer, we get to have a look at New York City sometime in the winter as you stroll around in your Miles Morales casuals. A perfect time for Playstation to show off its ray-tracing reflections. New York City lit up like a Christmas tree seems like a fantastic playground to show off ray-tracing features and capabilities.
Same City, New Spider-Man
In the new Spider-Man: Miles Morales game you face off against and a devious energy corporation, Roxxon, and a high tech army known as the Underground. In the gameplay trailer we get to see some of the Underground grunts in action. As Spider-Man shows off some of his new features such as the bio-electro venom and his camouflage abilities.
It’s also exciting to see that Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released on both PS5 and PS4. Sony also announced that there will be an ultimate edition of the game which promises to remaster the previous Spider-Man game to make full use of the PS5’s hardware.
They announced that this isn’t just a res-IP of the original game. They actually had to rework assets like, facial animations, hair, skin and characters. Further rendering distance of objects, an improvement on lighting and shadows, audio reworks and of course ray-tracing. This seems to be the buzz word for this console generation.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales looks like a fun game which I can’t wait to get my hands on. It launches with the PS5 on November 12th, although if you’re in Ireland and you want to play it on the PS5 you won’t be able to until the 19th of November.
