PC Building Simulator 2, the sequel to the 2018 cult hit build-‘em-up, launches into Open Beta exclusively on the Epic Games Store. From now until the 20th of June players can try out both Career Mode and Free Build Mode and get a taste of what is to come in the full PC Building Simulator 2 release.

The Open Beta of PC Building Simulator 2 includes the first five levels of the challenging 30+ hour career mode. Also, it gives a sample of Free Build mode with a limited number of parts.

Some of the key features:

  • An in-depth, 30+ hour career mode
  • 1200+ individual PC parts at launch
  • Improved and updated visuals for greater graphical fidelity
  • Takes hardware and software simulation to the next level

PC Building Simulator 2 pushes the limits of virtual PC creation to new heights, rendering players’ dream machines in more detail than ever before. Launching with over 1200 officially licensed parts from industry giants like AMD, Intel, NVIDIA and enthusiast brands like Thermal Grizzly, players will be able to customize and optimize their rigs to a new level.

This is all quite meta to me if I’m being honest. The simulator genre seems to be one where developers experiment. From goat to lawnmowing there is nothing this genre won’t push the boundaries with. Now we have a sequel to a game about PC building. It’s all so wonderfully bizarre and I love it. Now to sell this game all they need is to get Henry Cavill on board and they’ll potentially have the game of the year.
