Led by Ubisoft Toronto, Watch Dogs: Legion will release on the 29th of October on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia and for Windows PC on Epic Games and Uplay. The game will also be available on UPLAY+, Ubisoft’s subscription service. Watch Dogs: Legion will also release on Xbox Series X | S on the 10th of November and digitally on PlayStation 5 alongside the console on the 12th of November.

The physical version of the game on PlayStation 5 will be available on the 24th of November. Watch Dogs: Legion will also be available on Amazon Luna when the Ubisoft channel launches.

Ubisoft has also announced that the Online multiplayer mode of Watch Dogs: Legion will be available on the 3rd of December as part of a free game update for all Watch Dogs: Legion players. Watch Dogs: Legion has a robust post-launch plan that will bring fresh content to the single-player mode, and introduce online multiplayer modes.

The Online mode of Watch Dogs: Legion will include the following features as part of the 3rd December free update:

• Free-roam open-world co-op where players can team up with their friends for up to four-player co-op and explore the city of London and participate in side activities
• New co-op missions for two-to-four players using new co-op gameplay mechanics and giving players the opportunity to recruit the perfect team
• Four-player co-op Tactical Ops missions which will require teamwork and efficiency
• The first available Player-vs-Player (PvP) mode, Spiderbot Arena, where four-to-eight players control armed spiderbots and compete in a high-intensity free-for-all deathmatch

New free content for the single-player mode will be available in a future update in 2021, and will include:

• New characters with new abilities
• New mission content
• A New Game Plus mode

Additionally, players who acquire the Season Pass for Legion will get access to Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodline, a new storyline which includes Aiden Pearce from the original Watch Dogs game and Wrench from Watch Dogs 2 (the first title ever reviewed on GamEir), fully playable in the single-player campaign and online, along with two other characters which were unveiled today:

• Darcy, a member of the Assassin Order, thanks to a cross-over with Assassin’s Creed(because as we all know this is a spin-off of the AC Universe) 
• Mina, a subject of transhuman experiments, who possesses the ability to mind control individuals

In addition to the unique playable characters and Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodline story expansion, the Season Pass will offer extra DedSec missions, the original Watch Dogs Complete Edition from 2014, and more. The Season Pass for Legion is available for purchase as part of the Gold, Ultimate and Collector editions.

Going where no Watch Dog has gone before

Built with a next-gen concept, Legion introduces “Play as Anyone,” a never-before-seen gameplay innovation created by Ubisoft Toronto, the studio behind Legion. Play as Anyone gives players the entire city of London to choose their roster of resistance members from.

Every single person in the open world can be recruited and played, is unique and has a backstory, personality and skillset. Legion will also support hardware-accelerated DirectX Raytracing on Xbox Series X and full ray-tracing support on Nvidia RTX-equipped PC devices, bringing real-time ray-tracing reflections to the streets of London. Players who purchase Legion on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade their game to the next-gen version (Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5) at no additional cost.

In Legion, London is facing its downfall. Amidst the growing unrest of a restless London, an unknown entity named Zero-Day has framed secret underground resistance DedSec for coordinated bombings across London. In the aftermath, criminal opportunists from every corner of London took hold and filled the void left by a defeated government.

As a member of DedSec, players will be going up against those criminal opportunists in Legion; sadists, mercenaries, cybercriminals, and more; they’ll have to be prepared for a variety of situations. Players must recruit members into their DedSec Resistance to take on these criminal opportunists, liberate London and uncover the identity of Zero-Day.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is an intriguing game. That is all I can really say at the moment. I think that the idea of a Viking assassin is somewhat alien in my mind for some reason. I think it’s because of how Vikings are always portrayed as brutish, glory-seeking maniacs and the life of an assassin is pretty much on the other side of the spectrum.

Nevertheless, with the success of the last two Assassin’s Creed titles, I live in cautious optimism that this will be another historical hoorah for Ubisoft.

Far Cry 6 – new setting, same game?

​Far Cry 6 plunges players into the heart of a modern-day guerrilla revolution set in Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. President Anton Castillo (Esposito) vows to restore his country to its former glory while grooming his son Diego (Gonzalez) to follow in his footsteps.

Yet paradise has a price, and enriching his country means subjugating those who don’t adhere to his vision. In this island nation in turmoil, players will experience the adrenaline and chaos of guerrilla combat as they are swept up in a revolutionary movement to take down a tyrant.

This cinematic title was full of that signature ambience that the team always brings to each new Far Cry and with it came all the pros and cons of the series. I will say the graphics on show were impressive. Esposito himself looked mightily impressive. I actually had a double-take to figure out whether he was real or an in-game cinematic (in-game cinematic by the way)

Operation Steel Wave introduces Ace and Melusi, a new Attacker and Defender from Norway and South Africa, in addition to an entirely reworked House map and slew of gameplay changes.

Owners of the Year 5 Pass can play with the new Operators immediately, while the rest of the players will be able to unlock these Operators starting on the 23rd of June using Renown or R6 Credits. Additional seasonal new content, including the House map rework, are available for free to all players. Year 5 Season 2 will also welcome its Battle Pass “Tour De Force,” on the 29th of June.

In Operation Steel Wave, players will meet two new Operators:

• Norwegian Attacker Ace is equipped with S.E.L.M.A., a throwable and stickable device that will stick to any vertical surface and slowly destroy up to 3 panels, one after the other. The S.E.L.M.A. gadget can also be thrown at almost any defensive gadget and destroy it with its arms or water explosive.

• South African Defender Melusi is equipped with Banshee deployable electronic gadgets. It applies a slowing effect to any attackers that are in a direct line of sight. The Banshee can also be used as an intel gadget as it produces an identifiable sound when an attacker enters its range.

In addition to these two new Operators, players will be able to explore a reimagined House map, which has been newly reworked. The homeowners have expanded their family and their floorplan, with a large two-story addition adding new objective sites and entry points for players to contend with. Additional changes can be experienced throughout the map, all with the intent of evolving the gameplay meta.

Operation Steel Wave also introduces a new Defender secondary gadget – the Proximity Alarm. The small, throwable sticky gadget is an essential intel-gathering tool that loudly alerts Defenders of an oncoming Attacker in its line of sight.

Additional updates that come with Operation Steel Wave include the following:

• Unified MMR
• Amaru Buff
• Addition of Echo Elite set

With all these updates and the tournament announced for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, it is definitely a good time to be a fan of this game.

Current The Division 2 players will be able to purchase the expansion on its own, whilst new players can purchase the Standard Edition, which includes The Division 2 base game and The Division 2 Warlords of New York expansion. The Ultimate Edition, which gives players both the game and the expansion, as well as all of The Division 2’s Year 1 content, classified assignments and unlocked specializations, will also be available. All players must be at Level 30 and have reached World Tier 5 to join The Division 2 Warlords of New York. As such, each edition of the game will come with a Level 30 boost that players can activate if they wish to do so, to immediately jump into the New York expansion. After completing The Division 2 Warlords of New York campaign, Agents can then fast travel freely between Washington DC and New York City to enjoy the entire range of The Division 2’s content.

All players pre-purchasing** the expansion will be granted a free Level 30 boost that they can use at their discretion to jump their character to Level 30 in The Division 2, ahead of the expansion’s release.

A Narrative Expansion to Discover a New Area in New York City

In Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Warlords of New York, Division Agents will go on the ultimate manhunt for Aaron Keener, a former Division Agent who has now gone rogue. Keener, along with his network of Rogue Agents, is now a major threat to the rebirth of civilization. To track down Keener, Agents will roam the untamed living open world of Lower Manhattan, a former Dark Zone recently hit by a devastating hurricane that hit New York City harder than anywhere else in the US. Agents are tasked to explore new zones, each with iconic locations such as Two Bridges, Chinatown, and Wall Street. To get to Keener, players must take down each of his Rogue Agents.  Each Rogue Agent has their own unique back story and skill – which you discover once you take them down. 

The Ultimate Vision of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Warlords of New York

After taking the time to hear and gather community feedback, core gameplay enhancements have been implemented across various areas, including build diversity, gear streamlining and even more meaningful loot.

Along with The Division 2 Warlords of New York, Title Update 8 will include an RPG overhaul, allowing players to read and manage their gear inventory more easily. The UI screen will be updated to always show the roll ranges for each stat on a piece of gear or weapon. The overhaul also includes the return of god rolls, improving readability and helping players make better decisions on the gear’s usefulness to their build. Additionally, players will see a more streamlined gear recalibration system, with item and stat usefulness indicators, as well as permanent attribute and stat storage at the recalibration station. This will allow Agents the flexibility to plan the perfect build. 

The existing Dark Zones in The Division 2 are also being revitalised, returning to a simpler rogue mechanic. The focus is on rewarding player-to-player interaction, whether it’s fighting against each other, or helping a fellow Agent against a tough Rogue player.

In The Division 2 Warlords of New York, the players’ level cap will increase from Level 30 to Level 40, but it doesn’t stop there. The Division 2 Warlords of New York is also introducing an infinite progression system, the SHD level, and 4 new skills that can be used throughout the game. Owners of the expansion will also get access to new gear and new weapons.

Introducing Seasons, including Leagues and the Return of Global Events

The expansion will also introduce a new post-launch philosophy: Seasons – a 3-month-long themed endgame event with a new main target and his network to track down, introducing them at a regular pace, each with their own stories and unique rewards. The first season begins one week after the release of The Division 2 Warlords of New York. In addition to the Seasonal Manhunt, Seasons will offer new in-game activities. 

Leagues are a series of challenges for players with opportunities to unlock rewards based on players’ ability to complete these challenges.  Players will also see the return of Global Events, time-limited in-game events during which a global modifier is applied to the entire game and players will be rewarded by completing specific tasks.

During each Season, players will grow their Season level to unlock various rewards by participating in the various seasonal activities or even simply playing the game. Players interested in collecting additional rewards can acquire a Season Pass.

Entirely playable in solo or co-op, the Terminator Live Event will have players gear up and face an unexpected threat from the future in a new story arc taking place in a new location on Auroa.

The Terminator!?

Two main narrative missions will be introduced, during which players will have to rescue and partner with Rasa Aldwin, a woman coming from the future, in the hope of stopping the Terminators’ plans. These two missions will be available starting now and the 1st of February, respectively, and will remain in-game once the event ends. In addition, players will be able to face the challenging T-800 cyborgs in daily warfare and interception missions.

Upon completing missions during the live event which will run from now until the 6th of February, players will be rewarded with exclusive items inspired by The Terminator, including the movie’s iconic punk outfit, as well as exclusive new Terminator weapons and vehicles. In addition to the rewards granted by completing the event’s missions, players will be able to further customise their Ghosts with two Terminator-inspired packs, allowing players to fully transform into the Terminator or Kyle Reese in-game.

The Terminator Live Event comes as part of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s Episode I and follows the launch of the first raid in franchise history as well as a series of free updates that brought major improvements to the game. The game will continue to receive regular updates in the coming months, in line with the commitment made in the Moving Forward letter to expand and improve the game based on player feedback.

The Fangs of the Otherworld event will bring a new fang-tastic game mode, Spooky Slashers, a limited-time variation of Dominion. During the event, players will have to capture zones to gain a special boost to slay the strange creatures lurking in the painy lanes. However, players will have to stay on their toes, for their boost might be stolen from them if they are slain in return.

For Honor & For Horror

Halloween-themed loot will be randomly dropped at the end of all matches for the duration of the event. Players will be able to customise each of their favorite Heroes with many unique limited-time items, including spooky Battle Outfits, scary effects, and haunting weapons. In addition, this event brings four new limited-time executions to the game, as well as some frightening Illustrious Outfits!

Players will also have the chance to receive exclusive rewards by teaming up with other warriors and taking part in the Faction Race Order until the 1st of November. The Fangs of the Otherworld item bundle can be unlocked for 45,000 Steel per Hero until the 4th of November, 3:00 pm GMT.

The Fangs of the Otherworld Halloween event comes as part of For Honor’s Year 3, Season 3 “Hulda”, which brought players a new Viking Hero, the Jormungandr, a new map, many gameplay updates as well as the recent “Wrath of the Jormungandr” seasonal event.

Title Update 6 highlights the biggest title update to date for players of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, featuring “Episode 2 – Pentagon: The Last Castle”, a variety of game improvements and a new Conflict PvP mode. Episode 2 is available for Year 1 Pass holders and UPLAY+ subscribers today (October 22nd for all players). All changes and improvements, as well as the new mode, are available for all players today.

The latest episode in The Division 2’s Year 1 free content plan features escalation in Washington D.C. for Division Agents, as Black Tusk forces continue to wreak havoc around the city. In Episode 2, players must fight to solve the ongoing outbreak crisis. It will be up to Agents to uncover the secrets inside the Pentagon before it falls into the hands of The Black Tusk.

Content featured in “Episode 2 – Pentagon: The Last Castle” includes:

Two New Main Missions

At the beginning of Episode 2, players will investigate a transmission from a fellow Agent scouting the Pentagon for the perfusion bioreactor. Securing the bioreactor would allow Agents to replicate the antiviral samples recovered at Tidal Basin. Agents must navigate flood damage and Black Tusk forces to take back The Last Castle. After securing their safe house, players will be able to access the two replayable main missions of Episode 2.

• First Main Mission – Pentagon: Agents will discover the location of the perfusion bioreactor inside the Pentagon’s underground research facility. The Black Tusk have already infiltrated the lab and are attempting to extract the reactor.
• Second Main Mission – DARPA Research Labs: Players must make their way through the Pentagon and into the DARPA Labs, as the Black Tusk are in the process of transporting the perfusion bioreactor through an abandoned Cold War tunnel network.

New “Technician” Specialisation

From October 15^th, Year 1 Pass holders and UPLAY+ subscribers will instantly unlock the Technician Specialisation. Players who do not own the Year 1 Pass can unlock the specialisation by completing a series of objectives. Additional rewards, including a signature weapon skin, are also available once the specialisation is unlocked. The latest specialisation includes:

• Signature Weapon: P-017 Launcher – a multi-missile launcher. Agents can lock-on and hit up to six enemies (depending on available ammo). With a simple push of a button, six missiles are unleashed to seek out their targets.
• Sidearm: Maxim 9
• Skill Variant: Artificer Hive
• Grenade Mod: EMP Grenade

Classified Assignments (Exclusive only to Year 1 Pass holders and UPLAY+ subscribers) Agents can take on two new Classified Assignments at a Boathouse and Embassy.

• Marina: Outcasts have been moving weapons and supplies into a boathouse on the Potomac River, which was used as a transport depot during the outbreak to move assets to the Potomac Center and Roosevelt Island. Agents must investigate and seize all the weapons they can find.
• Embassy: A Joint Task Force helicopter filled with supplies was shot down by the Outcasts and crashed through the roof of the Mexican Embassy in America’s capital. Agents will be tasked to locate the helicopter rescue the pilot and secure the supplies before the Outcasts get there.

The latest title update also brings an unprecedented number of fixes and improvements, as well as a brand new PvP mode. 

Major Fixes and Improvements

Players will see significant game improvements in The Division 2 from today. These improvements were developed thanks to community feedback on game forums and following last month’s Elite Task Force workshop, during which community members visited Ubisoft Massive studio in Malmö, Sweden to share thoughts and ideas about the game. Fixes and improvements include:

• Targeted Loot
• Named Items overhauled
• Crafting Changes
• Recalibration Changes
• Filled Brands
• Inventory Management 2.0
• Increased stash space
• Rebalance of talents and weapons
• Dark Zone Server Transfers
• Updated Thieves’ Den Vendor
• Dark Zone Supply Drops Changes
• Occupied Dark Zone Ambushes
• Normalization in Dark Zone changes
• Conflict: Loadout Selection during map voting
• Bonus armor visualization increased
• Conflict: End of Match Rewards changes
• Stored tutorials

As part of Ubisoft’s commitment to the overall fixes and improvements to the game, The Division 2’s second raid will be delayed. The additional time allows the development team to focus on the overall quality of The Division 2 while developing a raid that will better meet the standards of its players.

New Conflict PvP Mode

The new Team Elimination PvP mode pits two teams of four into a best-of-seven round battle. Rounds will end once an entire team has been eliminated or time has expired. Team Elimination provides a teamwork focused tactical experience for players. Team Elimination takes effect today.

New map: The “Wharf”

The new map ‘Wharf’ is on par with previous PvP maps in terms of size and takes players to an abandoned fishing harbour. It offers tactical gameplay opportunities, through flanking routes and raised positions. 

Free Weekend

Players who have not yet had a chance to play The Division 2 will have the opportunity to try the game for free between October 17^th-20^th. In addition, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will be on sale later this month, allowing players to continue the adventure at a discounted price. Those who purchase the game after the Free Weekend will keep their progression.
