In a year that has been quite Pokémon-centric, it has been revealed who reigns supreme in 2022. Votes have been cast and the most popular Pokémon has been revealed.
The research, carried out by online gaming experts at Solitaire Bliss analysed search data from Google, Bing and Yahoo to determine which Pokémon is the most popular on the internet. Check out the list below and see if any of your favourites made the cut.

5 | Gengar | 110,000 | 1,700 | 1,800 | 113,500 |
6 | Umbreon | 109,000 | 1,700 | 2,300 | 113,000 |

9 | Rayquaza | 80,000 | 1,100 | 1,300 | 82,400 |
10 | Greninja | 70,000 | 1,400 | 1,700 | 73,100 |
Honestly, for me this is wonderful. I am a huge fan of the generation one fire starter evolution. Charizard is without a doubt the most impressive pocket monster. It is a testament to his design, story and legacy that he soars high over all other Pokémon on this list. Hell, he beat out the original champion which was Greninja.
Also many will notice Pikachu, who is considered the mascot of the series, isn’t even on the list. It doesn’t matter though since Pikachu is now a world champion with Ash. After this win I wonder will they finally rectify the greatest tragedy regarding Charizard. Will they make him a dragon-type?
