As a major Assassin’s Creed fan since the first game, I was thrilled when they announced they were remastering Assassin’s Creed Rogue. For anyone new to the Assassin’s Creed franchise it’s a must play series in this writers opinion. In Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered, which is a sequel to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and a prequel to Assassin’s Creed III, you play as Irish Assassin Shay Cormac with the game set in the 18th Century. The basis of the game is that the Assassin’s are searching for precursor temples to lead them to a piece of Eden, using a manuscript that Benjamin Franklin helps decipher. It’s a nerds dream having characters such as Benjamin Franklin to interact with in-game!

Shay meet’s Adewale and learns of an earthquake in Port-Au-Prince. With his skills as a captain and his newly acquired ship The Morrigan, Shay sets out on his journey to find out why the Templar’s are after the piece of Eden. Shay finds himself in Lisbon where he tries to retrieve a piece of Eden but it sets off another earthquake killing lots of innocent lives. Shay soon discovers that the Assassin’s are still going to search for it despite the loss of innocent lives so Shay goes rogue and teams up with the Templars to find it before the Assassin’s do.

The Morrigan :

Similar to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag you captain a ship. I love this aspect of the game. There are plenty of upgrades for the Morrigan so you can customise it to suit yourself. Not only that The Morrigan is the main travel system for Shay on his journey. There are sea battles of course which is so much fun, the player uses the cannons and puckle guns to blast your enemy’s with the option to sink or salvage ships you can recruit crew, salvage resources as well as repair the Morrigan.

Multiplayer :

Unfortunately Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered doesn’t have a multiplayer feature which is a shame because multiplayer with the Morrigan would be awesome in my opinion.

Overall :

Without giving away too much of the game it’s a savage play through with plenty of main and mini-quests to do and lots to pillage along the way. I also highly recommend anyone interested in Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered to play through Assassin’s Creed III and definitely Assassin’s Creed Black Flag which has also been remastered.

Bombslinger is a fun spaghetti western Bomberman style game. You start with the cutscene of McMean the character you play as, a former gang member who marries and opens a ranch. Years later his former gang affiliates come to torch his ranch and kill his beloved wife.

Bombslinger see’s McMean on his quest for revenge on his former affiliates. It’s set as a maze style game where you play through each field. Kill each farmer (or goat) you encounter along the way as you gather chest’s and open the next section of the maze. At the end of each section, you come face to face with a former gang affiliate who you must defeat in order to progress to the next phase. Each maze gets harder as you go along but there’s plenty of pick up’s and boost’s along the way to help such as extra bomb drops and guns. If you die along the way your sent back to the start with a new maze layout and stripped of any boost’s and XP reward’s you’ve got which makes the game all the more unforgiving (and fun)

The multiplayer aspect of the game is fun, the two-game modes are deathmatch and last man standing. In deathmatch, the player count is 2-4 with the option of up to 3 CPU’s. The score to win is determined by the frag count set pre-game, they go from 1-20. There is also a time limit option which can be set from 30 seconds up to 10 mins, there is also an option for no time limit. A Frag is earned when a player hits any opponent with a bomb blast. The first player to earn the set amount of frags wins the game.

Bombslinger GamEir ReviewIn last man standing, like deathmatch, the player count is 2-4, along with the option of 3 CPU’s. The score to win however is a little different. Instead of earning Frags, each player has health points which are set pre-game. With a min of 1 and max of 5. Each time a player is hit, they lose one health point. when they lose all of their health points, they are out of the round. There is no time limit per round The amount of rounds in a game of last man standing is set pre-game, ranging from 1 to 20. The first player to win the amount of rounds set in the pre-game menu will be the overall victor.

What really works for Bombslinger is its pick up and go accessibility, you can easily pick this up have a few matches and then head out with your fellow cowboys and cowgirls. It’s also an easy game to play nothing too complex to contend with adding to the replayability of it all. The only negative is the Gameboy style graphics which are something of a marmite situation, you’ll either love them or hate them.

I really enjoyed Bombslinger both as a lone player and in its versus mode. The graphics are simplistic in style but it’s still a great game. For those who want to pick up this enjoyable title check it out on Steam. And if you enjoyed this review and want to check out more be sure and follow GamEir for more news and reviews.

I’ve been a Sims fan since the very first game but 18 years later I wasn’t sure what to expect from The Sims 4. Thankfully life simulation has never been more fun. For those unfamiliar with the series, The Sims is life simulation ( in my opinion ) at it’s best. Create a family or sim and customize everything you could dream of. From how they walk, talk and sound to choosing their personality traits and interests.

Additional Content :

With more packs and expansions its endless possibilities for your Sims. To get the best experience I recommend getting some of the expansion packs which add more options to your gameplay. There are 4 main expansion packs then 6 game packs and an additional 13 stuff packs! Each pack brings new perks and stuff to the world, so whether you’re after a jungle adventure or to be a veterinarian there’s a pack for it.

Best Expansion :

In my opinion the best pack to get has to be pets. With cats , dogs and now horses. It also includes the career option of Veterinarian which is so much fun to play. Overall it’s a great game with so much content to add and download.

The game is available to download from Origins along with the packs. Happy gaming!
