Looking to expand the ALIEN tabletop experience? Well ALIEN RPG: Heart of Darkness is a stand-alone adventure that might be for you. However, it also serves as a conclusion to the Draconis Strain Saga that began in the cinematic scenario Chariot of the Gods and continued in Destroyer of Worlds. All of this is written by Andrew E.C Gaska. The expansion is designed for 3–5 players plus the Game Mother and is a spiralling descent into soul-crushing madness.
Heart of Darkness will come in a boxed set including a range of maps, cards, handouts, and pre-generated characters with a preliminary MSRP set to $29.99. The ALIEN RPG Core Rulebook or ALIEN Starter Set is required to play.
Heart of Darkness will be offered in a pre-order and PDF pre-release on the official ALIEN RPG website later this winter, for a full physical retail release in the summer.
Space is vast, dark, and not your friend. Try to scream and no one can hear you—hold your breath and you rupture your lungs. And there are things lurking in the shadows—things strange and different and deadly. Things alien.
In ALIEN RPG no one can hear you scream
The multiple award-winning official ALIEN RPG offers a universe of body horror and corporate brinkmanship. Here synthetic people play god while space truckers and marines serve host to newborn ghoulish creatures. It is a harsh and unforgiving universe, and you are nothing if not expendable. Stay alive if you can.
The official ALIEN RPG core rulebook was released in 2019 by Free League Publishing in partnership with 20th Century Studios. The game immediately sold out its first print run and swiftly entered the Top-5 list of best-selling tabletop roleplaying games in the fall of 2019. It won the ENNIE Award for Best Game 2020 and the People’s Choice Award for Best RPG at the UK Game Expo. The game is currently being translated into seven languages.
