If you’re in Dublin this weekend and you’re a gamer who hopes one day to create the next God of War or Shovel Knight you may know that Game Jam + is happening. If you didn’t well let me tell you what it is.
Game Jam + is all about building a game. You have 48 hours to assemble your team much like the Game Jam’s that most college students put themselves through. You can’t be just a great game dev, you will also need to be able to talk up your prototype game to a panel of judges.
The team from Dublin who is chosen then becomes part of something much bigger.
It’s not Game Over in Game Jam + though
A delightful feature will be available that allows gamers to choose another of the teams to go onto the next stage. This further adds to the competitive edge that will bring out the best in all the teams involved.
Build your game, build your future
It’ll be interesting to see what kind of games come out of Game Jam +. Will these be the people who will build the games of the future and what kind of talent will be behind them?
