Netflix has confirmed the names of the actors and directors that will be joining the cast of their upcoming The Witcher: Blood Origin series. Set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher: Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time – the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal in “conjunction of the spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.
The Witcher: Blood Origin will be a six-part, live-action limited series, and a prequel to the hit Netflix series The Witcher. The abovementioned cast will join Irish actor Laurence O’Fuarain (Fjall), Sophia Brown (Éile) and Michelle Yeoh (Scían). Waterford’s Declan de Barra will act as Executive Producer and Showrunner, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Matt O’Toole act as Executive Producers.
Andrzej Sapkowski will serve as creative consultant on the series. Jason Brown and Sean Daniel from Hivemind, and Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko from Platige Films will all serve as executive producers. Blood Origin began principal photography in August.

I honestly cannot wait for this and The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf to be released (Graham has already seen it…lucky duck). As a huge fan of the Witcher book series, it is great to see Andrzej Sapkowski involved in all that Netflix is doing. as it is his brilliant mind that brought us this crazy world and all the characters that dwell inside.
