Fans of classic platformer Crash Bandicoot were thrilled yesterday when a trailer for a brand-new Crash sequel, “Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time” was announced. This announcement capitalises on the massive hype generated by the N. Sane Trilogy, the recent remaster of the original 3 games.

For those of you who have been living under a rock for the last few decades; Crash Bandicoot is a platforming series centred around Crash, a mutated bandicoot. The games usually centres around Crash going head to head with one or more of his nemeses. These include Dr. Neo Cortex, the narcissistic mad scientist, Uka Uka, the evil magical mask, and many more. From the trailer, it seems as if Neo Cortex will once again star as the antagonist.

Despite there being more than 3 existing Crash Bandicoot titles, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a continuation of the revival of the series. It seems like remastering and revisiting classic titles is becoming a bit of a trend! Other franchises receiving this treatment include Spyro, Halo and the Resident Evil franchise.

Buying the game digitally gives you access to exclusive skins for Crash and Coco (Crash’s sister), confirming that Coco is a playable character! Neo Cortex is also playable, unusually, letting you play as the antagonist.
