What is Stuffed?

At its core, Stuffed is a first person shooter on procedurally generated maps. Protect the bedroom door while waves of enemies come through a wardrobe portal. That’s the best way I can think to describe it. You can open doors to unlock more  areas, and fast travel through portals between them. Along the way, you pick up new weapons and can level up your stats.

The game can also be played solo, or through multiplayer, both local and online.

Stuffed ideas?

Unfortunately, I found Stuffed to be lacking in almost every department. Although the premise has potential, at this point in time it completely lacks substance. Well, for me at least. It’s just waves of enemies. There’s nothing else to it. I will admit, I didn’t have high expectations. Aside from the bear being cute. Which it is. But other than that, I didn’t enjoy myself.

However, I do have a good idea of who this game would suit. This is very much the kind of game suited to a younger audience. Although technically an FPS, it’s totally harmless. Honestly, I feel this would be perfect for young people wanting to move into the FPS genre. There’s no blood or any real violence, and no means for any kind of graphic content. I never thought I would call an FPS child-friendly, but Stuffed very much is. 

Another selling point for parents in particular is the lack of micro-transactions in the game. You can buy new skins, but with in-game currency collected through playing.

To sum things up, Stuffed is a rather child-friendly shooter, but doesn’t offer a whole lot for an older audience. There is also potential for growth as the game progresses through early access, to an eventual full release.

If you didn’t hate the campaign, you probably hated the severe lack of flagship features such as split-screen. There are many more faults with Halo 5 and many strengths too (gunplay in Halo was never so clean and satisfying as it was in Guardians). An all-around amalgamation of mixed sentiments, which had many people worried about the direction of the franchise. Then in 2014, 343i appealed to our nostalgia with the Halo: The Master Chief Collection and it worked. A slam dunk as far as 343i was concerned, bringing all the previous major instalments into modern gaming with updated graphics and cross-play across PC, Xbox and any other Microsoft device. So yes it’s been a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to 343i’s handling of the franchise.

Halo Infinite however has now given us a well deserved high in the legendary saga. Bravo 343 industries!

On the 15th of November Halo Infinite multiplayer was released to the public after the 20th anniversary Halo Livestream. The multiplayer was released in a quasi beta form. Well, it’s not strictly in beta but 343i has told us to treat it as such, as many bugs and glitches will be found and patched on the lead up to Halo Infinite’s full release on December 8th. But 343i have outdone themselves with Halo Infinite’s multiplayer. It is a return to form for Halo.

The first word that comes to mind in Infinites multiplayer is crisp. The visuals and audio come together to bring us an all too real battle in the Haloverse. Every single bullet that leaves your weapon has a satisfying harshness to it and gravity that demands admiration. The physics of this new Slipspace engine are put on full display with new power-ups such as the grapple hook. Classic modes such as slayer and capture the flag are found here along with new ones such as strongholds. New toys to play with have also made their debut in multiplayer. My personal favourite is the skewer. This is a giant rocket launcher that launches giant metal spikes instead of explosive rockets.

Following the protagonist called Nick, a washed-up and down in the dumps actor who needs a break. Competing on Kill/Stream for the prize of a truckload of money and a fan base following. However, he must face the sinister truth hidden on the island.

Each playthrough changes dramatically depending on player choices and the relationships built. Some of these choices will bring deadly consequences for Nick and his fellow contestants. Similar to the mechanics used in Until Dawn, the PS4 hit game from 2015.

Here’s the thing. At this point in time, we’re basically just looking at a poor clone of Dead by Daylight. If you check Steam reviews out, that is also the general consensus. Yes, there are differences. But the whole premise is the same. Four people need to work together to escape from a single killer.

A way to flop?

Furthermore, the matchmaking is horrendous. This game has been in my library since it hit early access over a month ago. However, do you think I’ve found a match with actual people? NOPE! The only reason I have been able to play this game at all is because the devs added an AI mode. Yup, matchmaking is so terrible that an AI mode had to be added. A mode that shows low end graphics and poor gameplay.

Look, I understand that this is an early access game. That’s why I won’t be properly reviewing it at this time. I don’t believe that would be fair. Down the line, I will be revisiting A Way to Be Dead. When the game eventually releases in full, I will review it. But as for my first impressions, this is a bit of a nope.

I also need to add in this part because it made me laugh so hard. This game is so poorly named. When I was doing my initial research after being offered the key, when I typed in the title, the results weren’t the game. The first two were, but after that? LOTS OF HELPLINES! Google thought I needed some serious help. If you are searching this game, for your own sake, make sure you add game to the end of the title.

Introducing 26 new cards and plenty of new tactics to utilise. This new update launched last week so time to get stuck in. Available on all supported platforms. Check out the launch trailer below for the latest update on the expansion.

Currently on the sixth season of Journey, the progression system used by GWENT. This new season will run for the next three months and allow players to unlock 100 levels of rewards. Using the same approach as before for all seasons, this season will offer both a free and paid tier. This season’s story is focused on the magical academy situated on Thanedd Island. Work your way through the new weekly quests and learn more about the academy through the eyes of Alissa. 

By playing through the Thanedd Coup and completing quests along the paid tier of journey, players will be able to earn over 80 rewards. These rewards include Card Kegs, avatars, coins, cardbacks, title and 8 new game boards. 

GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is available for free on PC via GOG.COM and Steam, Apple M1 Macs running macOS, as well as on Android and iOS.

The latest trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin provided new story details about the protagonist’s connection with Razewing Ratha. Along with the whereabouts of their grandfather the legendary Monster Rider Red, and some returning characters from Monster Hunter Stories. While we’re still somewhat in the dark about how the mysterious light and the disappearance of Rathalos is connected. Players will have to rely on their Monstie Frostfang and Battle Buddy Avinia to help unravel the story. 

For fans of Monster Hunter Rise, we got a look at the second free upgrade for the tite. The Ver 3.0 update is already live and available for players to download. This update introduces two new monsters to the game and a new ending to the games main storyline. Along with new quests, weapons, armours, skills and plenty more.
