Nine Witches: Family Disruption, the comedic alternate-history occult adventure game from developer Indiesruption and publisher Blowfish Studios, has manifested on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and GOG.
Beep Company and DMM Games will also distribute the IndieCade-nominated Nine Witches: Family Disruption for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan this winter.
Something strange is happening in the remote Norwegian village of Sundae, best known for its delicious, three-testicled salmon. As World War II rages on, Sundae finds itself an unlikely home to the Third Reich’s Okkulte-55 Division. These devious belligerents seek to harness the regions supernatural energy to secure Germany’s victory in the global conflict.
As the Okkulte-55 spreads through the once-sleepy hamlet, paranormal researcher Professor Alexei Krakovitz and his trusty assistant Akiro Kagasawa arrive at the Allies behest. Guide the pair on an investigation transcending the mortal realm, commune with spirits, chat with colourful locals, and fight back against the Third Reich as they attempt to raise literal Hell.
Switch between characters to harness their innate abilities. Astral project as the Professor to uncover otherworldly information and hold court with Sundaes departed souls to aid the duo’s investigation. Chat with locals and scour for clues as Akiro, solving puzzles and piecing together the townߣs mysteries, and prepare to flex Akiroߣs muscles during combat if the Okkulte-55 catches wind of the duoߣs operation.
Prepare for surprises, shocking revelations, and hearty laughs as Krakovitz and Kagasawa explore Sune while interacting with more than 50 characters. Experience a story steeped in paranormal activity and absurdist humour set against the backdrop of one of history’s darkest hours. Soak in Sundae’s charms and quirks brought to life with retro-inspired pixel art.
