Ubisoft has invited fans to tune in to the worldwide gameplay reveal of Far Cry 6. Far Cry 6 the latest instalment in the Far Cry franchise, on the 28th of May at 5:30 pm on their Twitch Channel as well as their YouTube Channel.

Giancarlo Esposito gives his usual gravitas with this announcement. That’s right folks he is going full uber bad guy continuing his long run of villainous roles. Hopefully, this latest teaser will showcase interesting gameplay from Far Cry 6. Not only that, I’m hoping for something different from the Far Cry franchise because honestly, I don’t think the franchise has been particularly innovative since Far Cry 3. Far Cry 4 had a lot of fun ideas but they didn’t stand as strong.

Topple a dictatorship in Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 is an open-world first-person shooter that plunges players into the heart of a modern-day guerrilla revolution set in Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time under the oppressive rule of President Antón Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito).

As he vows to restore his nation to its former glory while grooming his son Diego (Anthony Gonzalez) to follow in his footsteps, players will embody Dani Rojas, a local military dropout turned guerrilla fighter in their quest to overthrow the tyrant and unite the nation.

It’s an interesting narrative if somewhat similar to Far Cry 4. I feel like Esposito will bring that signature menace to this role.
