Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, and The LEGO Group have announced that The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game will available in Europe on the 6th October 2017 for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, the 13th October 2017 for Steam and the 20th October 2017 for Nintendo Switch. Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game allows players to extend the non-stop action and humour of the new big-screen animated adventure The LEGO Ninjago Movie. Players can battle their way through waves of enemies with honour and skill as their favourite Ninjago heroes – Lloyd, Nya, Jay, Kai, Cole, Zane and Master Wu – to defend Ninjago Island from Lord Garmadon and his Shark Army.
With new, powerful combat moves, players can jump into the action with adrenaline pumping fighting sequences that let them jump higher, kick harder, swing further and defy gravity to conquer their enemies. Players can master the art of Ninja-gility by running on walls, high-jumping and battling foes of Ninjago to rank up and upgrade the ninja’s combat skills, and traverse across Ninjago Island fluidly with parkour-like moves. The new combat moves include Rushing Boar, a dash attack to bridge the gap between characters, Floating Butterfly, a jump lunge attack that allows the ninja to leap and attack from above, Swooping Hawk, a jump slam attack, and Stinging Bee, a flurry of very fast strikes.
As they progress their combat skills and abilities, they will also be able to master the art of Spinjitzu – battling their way through waves of enemies with new combat techniques, maneuvers, and skills, as well as elemental powers and upgradeable weapons unique to each Ninja. Players can combine all of them through the game.
The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game features eight large, action-packed, open locations based on the movie story, as well as iconic locations and characters from the LEGO Ninjago TV series. From Ninjago City, to the jungles of Ninjago Island, each location includes a host of hidden secrets to collect, as well as its own unique Challenge Dojo where players can put their combat skills to the test, earning high scores and battling with increasingly tougher enemies. In addition, the game features Battle Maps that allow players to go up against their friends and family in three different game modes with competitive split-screen local gameplay for up to four players.
With the success of all previous LEGO video games, and the roaring success of the film franchise it seems that LEGO can do no wrong. Let’s hope once this game comes out in October it’ll be as successful as previous iterations.
