PUBG Update 7.2 is now live and available on PC, Stadia, and consoles. The latest version of PUBG introduces a long-awaited Ranked Mode, changes to shotguns, Jerry Cans, and other gameplay tweaks. So if you’re a fan of PUBG get out there and make some noise.

  • New Mode: Players across platforms can now get their hands on Ranked Mode. Pushing hard on traditional battle royale skill sets, this mode features 64 total players, no Red Zones, and a focus on making the best loot more readily available. Updated 7.2 brings the addition of AI, but no AI will be featured in Ranked Mode. Full details can be found in the patch notes, but further insight can be found in our latest developer blog here.
  • Updates: With the introduction of ranked mode, there have also been many balance adjustments to strengthen the characteristics of each weapon type. One of the biggest changes comes to shotguns, which have increased damage to both head and limbs. However, the improved utility of shotguns will really come from the reduced accuracy penalty during movement, less damage drop at range, and better hip-firing accuracy.
