Frontier Developments has announced that Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, will be launching for PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and FrontierStore.net. Excited to get a start on your odyssey? Well, the wait is almost over with the launch date scheduled for May 19th. This highly anticipated release is a new era for Elite Dangerous.
Elite Dangerous: Odyssey boasts to be the most ambitious expansion for Elite Dangerous to date. The long-requested feature of allowing commanders to explore planets on foot, taking on new missions and utilising the new tactical combat system. All this being a new and welcomed addition to the franchise. Time to break free from the cockpit and experience everything that the galaxy has to offer. Thus bringing a game-changing feeling to the Elite Dangerous we’ve come to know and love over the last 7 years.
Elite Dangerous: Odyssey: A Whole New Galaxy To Explore
Players can now customise their characters for ground operations with different suits and gear. With new suits specific to the type of mission you’re on. Those being salvage, investigation or combat missions.
Meet with other players in the social hubs across the galaxy to plan out your next mission. Or perhaps you’d like to form a new alliance. Be sure to stock up on the right gear for your upcoming missions too. Prepare for a more wide-ranging experience when you drop into Elite Dangerous: Odyssey.
Elite Dangerous: Odyssey will release on PC on May 19th. The Odyssey Alpha phase will end on the 30th of April. Releases on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One are planned for autumn 2021. We at GamEir are certainly looking forward to getting our hands on this update.
