Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have announced new Christmas themed, in-game events coming to Mortal Kombat 11 this winter season. The Winter Wonderland (22nd – 27th December) and Ring in the New Year (28th of December through the 2nd of January) Tower events within the Towers of Time mode will be available as free content updates for all Mortal Kombat 11 owners. Both events will feature an array of celebratory modifiers, while allowing fighters to earn character skins, player module pieces, holiday-specific konsumables and other in-game rewards.
Check out these festive-themed details for Mortal Kombat 11:
- Winter Wonderland Tower event (available 22nd – 27th December) will feature three Towers with holiday-themed modifiers in the form of falling Killer Kanes, Sledding Tarkatans, Parachuting Ginger Deadmen, Exploding Snowmen, Christmas Trees, Menorahs, Dreidels and Shooting Stars.
- Ring in the New Year Tower event (available 28th December through 2nd January) will feature three Towers allowing players to usher in the new decade with party-themed modifiers, including a Disco Ball, Champagne Bottles, Party Poppers, Fireworks and a Digital Countdown Clock to ring in the new year.
- Kombat League, the seasonal ranked mode in Mortal Kombat 11, is currently in its sixth season, ‘Season of Konquest,’ and available now for all players to participate in until the 7th of January. The next season of Kombat League is set to begin on the 14th of January.
Players can also jump into the fight this holiday season with the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack, the best way to upgrade the Mortal Kombat 11 game experience with new downloadable content (DLC) featuring six characters, numerous skin and gear sets and one-week early access for all content.
The new characters coming to MK 11 via the Kombat Pack include The Joker (28th of January early access) and Spawn (17th of March-early access), along with the iconic Terminator T-800 (available now), Sindel (available now), Nightwolf (available now) and Shang Tsung (available now). Players can purchase the Kombat Pack as part of the Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition for £79.99 or individually for £34.99. All DLC characters and bonus character skins will be available for individual purchase after the one-week early access period.
