At today’s tournament for Dragon Ball FighterZ at this year’s Gamescom, there were a lot of spills and thrills. During the Twitch stream as well on Twitter Bandai Namco teased a surprise once the tournament grand finale was over. Many wondered what it might be: Would the beta be sooner than we expected? Were, even more, character’s being revealed, and my personal question was the game being released tomorrow (the team at Bandai Namco liked that one)? Well once the tournament ended and our victor stood over the broken body of his opponent Bandai Namco released a new trailer. This trailer (you can see it below) reveals the legendary Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form in its full glory with Goku and Vegeta ripping apart their opponents with incredible tenacity.
Each form seems to play like a completely different character as opposed to the rumoured issue that they may just be different skins for Goku and Vegeta. Both forms look impressive in particular Vegeta who’s transformation is reminiscent of the iconic moment in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F when he revealed the form to Frieza who suitably freaked out realising that his one time flunky had surpassed him.
With this reveal and Dragon Ball FighterZ crushing the competition at Gamescom the level of hype for this game is already at fever pitch. What else could possibly be coming down the pipe line and can this game live up to the hype? Hopefully like Vegeta, they are the hype. Be sure and follow this link to sign up for the closed beta which will give you access to the majority of the revealed characters so far (no Androids or Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan’s for you).
Dragon Ball FighterZ will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 system, and PCs in early 2018.
