I was lucky enough to receive a review code for the PlayStation 5 version of Scarlet Nexus and I just finished the psychedelic adventure. In Scarlet Nexus you play as either Yuito or Kasane. These two are young recruits to the OSF a military force comprised of powerful psionics.
In the world of Scarlet Nexus, almost the entire population has psychic abilities. The world lives with everything in its brain and the psionics are the most powerful individuals on the planet.
Scarlet Nexus: A story of two psionics
This is where you the player choose to play as either Yuito or Kasane. You then follow their respective adventures and see the game from their points of view. I’ve only played as Yuito but I imagine if I began my second playthrough as Kasane I’d have a different enough experience to warrant the second go around.
The game has a frenetic energy to it with the combat centring around your powerful psionic abilities. There is also a surprising level of depth as the story progresses. It’s not a perfect game though, there are issues that irked me right out the gate.
